New Administrator

Part-time post, 20 hours per week, salary will be £12,011 (£13212 including pension) per annum.

We are seeking a new member of our team to create an effective administrative base at the heart of our churches.

Responsible to the Incumbent/Line Manager, the Church Administrator will provide administrative support and assistance across the two parishes as we continue to develop our worship, mission and ministry.

As well as providing effective administration within the churches, the post-holder will be expected to be a key face and voice of the church to the wider community, from answering the phone and offering hospitality to visitors to managing the room hiring system at St Nicholas’.

You must be able to work on your initiative, be a team player but capable of working alone and unsupervised, have excellent IT skills, be a good communicator, well-organised, approachable and be able to maintain confidentiality.

Applicants should have an understanding of the Christian faith and have experience of working with volunteers.  

You will be based in the Church Office at St Nicholas’ Church, DE22 2PE, car-parking available.

Previous experience in an administrative role is preferable. 

This post will be subject to a DBS check. 

The first 6 months of your employment will be probationary.
