July 2020: Our buildings may be in lockdown, but the church continues to gather- digitally, by phone and by post.
During lockdown, we have been preparing online worship and prayer resources here on our church webpage and on our Facebook page. These will include reflections, midweek prayer and Sunday services. This page will be regularly updated, just use the the links below and keep an eye too on the right-hand side columns (double-click on the pictures).
Each Sunday there will be a Zoom video conference meeting for anyone who is interested from both St Paul's and St Nick's. (Confused? This is a fairly simple process where you click on a link sent to you in an email, you'll be asked to follow the onscreen instructions to join the group, which you can do via laptop, table, ipad or smart phone. You can also ring a landline number and join in.
To ask for an invitation, use the contact form below or email email@example.com
We also have a Zoom prayer and chat session on a Wednesday evening at 8pm. If you would like to join this as well as Sunday, just add a note in the contact form above or again email Becky the vicar.
Midweek prayer - the links for these are on the left hand side of this page.
Alternatively if you would like to follow a personal act of worship click here.
St Nick's also has a Twitter account, please do have a look from time to time @StAllestree
Church members should be receiving a phone call on a regular basis from a church friend. If you haven't been contacted please get in touch via the contact form, email or phone.

Welcome to St Nicholas' Church here in Allestree, we are also known locally as St Nick's and are part of the Church of England. We are informal, prayerful and open to the workings of the Holy Spirit through our lives.
On Sunday mornings we gather together at 10am to in worship and prayer, often to be challenged, inspired and encouraged in our daily lives and to catch up over a good brew.
We love celebrating birthdays and special occasions and offer prayer ministry during our services.
We have good level access for those who need help with mobility- just follow the signs. There is a loop system,car-park, lots of loos and a baby changing area. We have plenty of space for buggies and pushchairs too.
Our church office is staffed currently by our Church Administrator on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.30am-3.30pm. 2 Lawn Avenue, Allestree, Derby, DE22 2PE.
Please contact the Vicar, Revd Becky for wedding and baptism enquiries on 01332 550224.
If you'd like to simply book our room facilities please contact her on the church office number or send an email.
